For the fast-track redevelopment of the Pendennis Superyachts shipyard within Falmouth Docks, Midas was contracted to deliver the phased demolition of an existing warehouse, the construction of three new ship construction halls, office space refurbishment, and external works. To accommodate the client’s operating needs the work was planned to a complex multi-phased handover. Specific features included the roof installation of 140m² of PV array, a ducting system that allowed the control of working temperatures for boat construction, new car park and the strengthening of the historic sea wall to allow the installation of a 600 tonne load capacity boat lift. The finished facility features 24m high entrance doors, an 80m long mast spray booth, 6 overhead gantry cranes, a bespoke goods lift, workshops, offices and welfare facilities.
