The project comprised part demolition of and extension to an existing Morrisons store. The store site is located in Woking town centre, 400m from the railway station, and neighbouring residential, retail and industrial properties. The site access road was shared with the industrial estate. The store and car park were open to the public throughout the works, and a 55m crash decked tunnel was used to maintain safe customer access to the store while the extension works were undertaken. The works comprised the demolition of the building's front façade and consequent extension, and extensive groundworks altering the site car park and road system. The existing internal areas of the store were refurbished. Upgrades and new features include customer café, store entrance, customer toilets, checkouts, dry clean facilities, security room and customer kiosk. Extension floor area = 15,930ft²
