Dean Saunders up-front at Mi-space’s second St David’s Day breakfast for housing stakeholders
Welsh sporting legend Dean Saunders joined Mi-space and leading figures in the Welsh housing sector to celebrate St David’s Day at a special breakfast at Liberty Stadium, Swansea.
The event is in its second year and, as well as marking Wales’s national day with an entertaining morning for guests, it provided the opportunity for decision-makers in the Welsh property sector, local authorities and housing associations to gather to discuss key topics affecting housing in Wales.
Visitors turned out in force to support the event and hear from guest speaker Dean Saunders, the former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker, capped 75 times for Wales; who delighted the audience with amusing football stories from his career and answered questions, hosted by Welsh broadcaster and Rugby Union coach, Sean Holley.
Mi-space Property Services, part of the Midas Group, has offices in Newport and Neath, and, over many years, has worked in communities across Wales on a wide range of improvement, energy efficiency and Welsh Housing Quality Standard upgrades, benefiting thousands of families.

The team was recently reappointed to Swansea Council’s framework as part of the ongoing major upgrade of its properties to Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS), and also works for customers including Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Newport City Homes and Tai Tarian.
AJ Eaton, Divisional Director for Mi-space, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our long association supporting partners and local communities in the upgrading of Wales’s social housing stock.
“We’ve learned a lot along the way and I believe we bring our own unique insight into some of the issues facing housing in Wales and the huge opportunities that well-managed physical improvement projects can have as a catalyst for wider social, economic and community benefit.
“The St David’s Day event provides an opportunity for ourselves and key leaders in the sector to take forward ideas as well as a really enjoyable event to celebrate a special day for Wales; this time in the company of Sean Holley as host, and the legendary Dean Saunders, who was highly entertaining.”
