Midas Secures Place on Prestigious University Framework

Midas Construction has secured a place on a construction framework for one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

The company has successfully clinched a position on the University of Oxford’s Capital Projects Partner Framework for developments valued between £5million and £20million.

The five year framework will include a range of schemes from office refurbishments to complex and technically advanced new facilities. Priorities for the university include providing innovative and adaptable spaces for research and learning, and reducing running costs and carbon emissions using Passivhaus methodology.

Alan Hope, Chief Executive of the Midas Group, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside such a highly regarded university and look forward to supporting their diverse needs and facilities across this historic estate as it continues to grow for the future.

“Frameworks are a key area of focus for Midas, allowing us to build on our reputation for forging strong and lasting relationships with our customers.”

He added that frameworks offer support and an effective and simplified procurement route for public and private sector organisations when they look to bring forward individual construction projects; and they bring added value through early contractor engagement.

In the last three years alone Midas Group has delivered more than 50 projects with a value of around £300 million through framework agreements and strategic partnerships, including education projects, residential, retail, defence estates and varied public sector facilities. Through these frameworks, Midas has also been able to support the employment and training of people living in communities linked to these developments.

Recently, Midas Construction re-secured its place on the £5.2 billion SCF Framework, continuing to support customers across the south of England to procure and deliver value-for-money, high-quality assets.  New frameworks in the last year include the £8 billion Department for Education (DfE) Framework, which is set to drive major investment in schools and other education facilities over the next three years, and where Midas Group was successful in lots covering the South West, South East and West Midlands.
