New luxury care home breaks ground in Falmouth

National care provider, Barchester Healthcare, marked the start of their newest care home build in Falmouth, which is under construction by Midas Construction Ltd.

Andy Williams and Grant Jenson Senior Property Development Managers at Barchester were joined by Midas team, James Smith, Operations Manager, Carl Clarke, Site Manager, Mark Wheeler, Senior Design & Build Manager, Pat Wilkins, Senior QS to take a tour of the work in progress. The architect of the build, Chris Shearman from TDC, and Craig Lavery from Holden & Lee also joined the group on the day.

After the tour, Andy said: "My colleagues and I were very impressed with work we saw at the latest Barchester site. The new care home will be an important facility for the district and a very welcome source of employment."

The 66-bed care home in Falmouth will also provide high quality care services, as well as dedicated dementia care in Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Communities.

Andy continued: “We are very excited about the construction of our new care home in Falmouth, and are really pleased that our prospective residents will have a home set in such beautiful grounds.

“There is a real need for quality care in the local area and our new home will definitely meet this, and potentially give a boost to employment in neighbouring communities.”

Barchester Healthcare’s Falmouth care home will open in February 2021 and will deliver personalised residential care as well as personalised dementia care in Barchester’s unique Memory Lane Community.
